The Men's Handball World Championship is currently held in Poland and Sweden between 11 and 29 January, and it's not just the Hungarian national team that will be in action. Pál Merkovszki, a student at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS), who starts his last semester at the university at the Sports and Recreation Management Department, will be part of the US team.
Two of the most prestigious journals of sports science, namely the British Journal of Sports Medicine (BJSM) and Sports Medicine (SM) have published an article in the publication of which Dr Tamás Csányi, Head of the Department of Physical Education Theory and Methodology of Education also participated.

Professor Tibor Hortobágyi, research professor at the Department of Kinesiology at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS), has been acting as editor-in-chief of the international journal Biomechanics since 1 January, 2023. The renowned Hungarian research professor, who succeeds Dr Justin Keogh, is also the founding editor-in-chief of the Neuromechanics section.
Registration has begun for the European Association for Sociology of Sport (EASS) conference (EASS2023) to be held at the Hungarian University of Sports Science between 30 May and 2 June 2023.
On 9 December 2022, Dr Miklós Bánhidi, lecturer of the Department of Recreation of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) participated in a doctoral thesis defense at the Cluj-Napoca-based Babes-Bolyai University.
An opening plenary lecture on the fitness status of Hungarian schoolchildren was given at the University of Belgrade by Dr Tamás Csányi, Head of the Department of Physical Education Theory and Methodology of Education at HUSS.
