In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the representatives of the University of Physical Education have participated a one-day visit to fulfill the invitation of the Embassy of Bern and to strengthen the partnership with our new institutional partner, the University of Bern.
On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Péter Szijártó, and on behalf of the University of Physical Education, Prof. Dr. h. c. Lajos Mocsai Rector, Dr. habil. Tamás Sterbenz Vice rector, Dr. habil. Judit Kádár, Director of the International Relations Center, and Edina Matuz, International coordinator were present. The Bern Embassy of Hunganry was represented by Mr. Csaba Piszter, Trade Attaché, while the University of Bern presented the Head of the Department of Sports and Health Sciences: Prof. dr. Claudio R. Nigg and the Head of the Department of Sports Pedagogy: Prof. dr. Mirko Schmit and Patrick Zimmermann, a research fellow.
The partner institutions presented the outcomes of the cooperation and outlined the prospective areas of collaboration. Dr. Kadar has emphasized the professionalism and efficiency that the Swiss partner institution has presented so far and the value of the work by the wonderful contributing presenters. After the official ministerial meeting, the leaders of the partner universities held another meeting, where further shared areas were identified, with a special emphasis on the continuation of the already implemented webinar series. Common research areas and possible future programs were clarified as well.
The Directorate of International Relations has invited the Bern delegation to the 4th Sports and Innovation International Conference, where to the greatest pleasure of the University of Physical Education, Dr. Nigg will be among the distinguished speakers.
