The new Ambassador of Colombia, Hon. Ana Piedad Jaramillo Restreo and Hon. Zaal Gogsadze, Ambassador of Georgia have briefly discussed the existing and newly developing academic relations of their countries and the University of Physical Education, Budapest, with Dr Judit Kadar, Director of international relations at UPE.
In view of the accelearting sports diplomatic, scientific and cultural relations also supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sport Diplomacy Department, we are to explore the opportunities to foster research-based projects, exchange of students, faculty and athletes as well as short term programs. As for Colombia, Mr. Duvan Ocampo, distinguished representative of the Embassy has already visited UPE in the company of young Colombian swimmers, and a research project has already been launched, inlcuding UPE academics. As for Georgia, we are to identify in what capacity can UPE foster the development of sports education and other sports related areas in Georgia.
