Professor Zsolt Radák successfully applies for research funds the National Research Excellence Programme

Professor Zsolt Radák, Head of the Centre for Molecular Exercise Biology, has successfully applied for funds provided by the ADVANCED grant programme of the National Research Excellence Programme with the research project titled "The effect of lactic acid and exercise on DNA methylation and epigenetics".

The National Research Excellence Programme's ADVANCED sub-programme aims to support experienced, talented researchers with an independent research team, who have an outstanding publication record, who are internationally recognised experts in their field and wish to take their successful basic research topic further and explore it from new aspects.

For the sub-programme titled ADVANCED_24, a total of 758 valid proposals were submitted and decided by the Research Excellence Board at its evaluation meeting held on 6 November 2024. According to the decision, 96 outstanding research proposals received a total of 9,959,363,000 HUF in non-reimbursable grants.

We are pleased to announce that Professor Zsolt Radák, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF), Head of the Centre for Molecular Exercise Biology, has won a grant of HUF 110,032,000 (EUR 265,000) for his application entitled "The Effect of lactic acid and exercise on DNA methylation and epigenetics".
