# Zsolt Radák

Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation at the Hungarian University of Sport Science Professor Zsolt Radák gave a thought-provoking interview for the Alumni Network Hungary.

Professor Zsolt Radák, Head of the Centre for Molecular Exercise Biology, has successfully applied for funds provided by the ADVANCED grant programme of the National Research Excellence Programme with the research project titled "The effect of lactic acid and exercise on DNA methylation and epigenetics".

According to a study published by Professor Zsolt Radák and his colleagues in Springer Nature Link, Olympic champions exhibit slower epigenetic aging than non-elite athletes.

At the 4th International Forum on Sport Science held in Chengdu, China, 150,000 participants listened to the speakers online, including Professor Zsolt Radák, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF).

With the support of the Olympic Solidarity (OS), another 14 foreign students joined our increasingly popular International Coaching Course (ICC).

A delegation from the Japanese Embassy, ​​including His Excellency Masato Otaka Ambassador, Yuki Iwasaki, second diplomat, Head of the Cultural and Press Department and Sachiko Győri, cultural assistant have visited our university recently.

On 10 May, two newly announced honorary doctors’, namely that of Dr Li Li Ji’s and Dr Scott Powers’s name was inscribed on the marble plaque to be found at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS).

Prof Zsolt Radák, Director of the Research Center for Molecular Exercise Science at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) acts as a co-author of a scientific article in one of the world's most highly-ranked scientific journals, Nature Metabolism.

After last year's excellent results, one of the top lecturers at the Hungarian University of Sports Sciences (HUSS), Prof Dr Zsolt Radák has been ranked among the world's leading scientists.

The article titled „The impact of aerobic and resistance training intensity on markers of neuroplasticity in health and disease” published by Dr Tibor Hortobágyi, Research Professor at the Department of Kinesiology at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) was published in the Ageing Research Review, a scientific journal with almost 12 impact factors.

The Research Center for Molecular Exercise Science, led by Dr. Zsolt Radák, has successfully submitted a grant application to the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) post-Covid 2021-28 Grants Scheme.
