ICC graduation ceremony held at TF

International Coaching Course (ICC) graduation ceremony was held at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) on 29 May signalling the end of the ten-week period.

Students from several countries including Cambodia, Iran, Grenada, the Maldives, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, Swaziland, Sao Tome and Principe, Taiwan, Uganda, Bhutan and Mozambique finished their 10-week course as part of their International Coaching Course (ICC). 

During the weeks of the training, the international students learnt 13 subjects parallel with their sport specification. This ICC program have stepped up immensely in terms of creating pathways for next generation coaches, quality assurance also generating new philosophy and approaches to coaching.

The ICC course is run by TF in cooperation with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Olympic Solidarity (OS).

In addition to the students and their teachers, the graduation ceremony was attended by Andrea Magay, Head of the Rector's Office, Dr habil. Ákos Cserny, Deputy Rector for Education, Dr habil. Judit Kádár, Head of the Directorate of International Relations, H. E. Malallah Al Balushi, Ambassador of Oman to Budapest, and Omar Al Zadjali, embassy staff member.

Judit Kádár thanked the students for choosing the ICC course, and reminded the recent graduates that there are few international courses in Hungarian higher education that has been running successfully for so long.

"The time spent here was not only about getting to know each other, absorbing and transferring knowledge with your fellow countrymen back home, but also about becoming an integral part of the TF community. We look forward to welcoming you to our other English language courses in the future," said Judit Kádár.

Maiyar Jamil Ramis Jamil Al Badri thanked the TF lecturers for their hard work on behalf of the students, adding that today they are celebrating not only the fact that they have received their degrees, but also the hard work of the past two months.

The best performing student of the course was Mehrad Atashi with an average of 4.83.

We appreciate the effort made by TF’s teachers who work at the ICC program, which has been running for nearly 30 years, and which is the flagship international program of the university.
