A delegation from the Japanese Embassy, including His Excellency Masato Otaka Ambassador, Yuki Iwasaki, second diplomat, Head of the Cultural and Press Department and Sachiko Győri, cultural assistant have visited our university recently.
The guests were welcomed by professor Tamás Sterbenz and dr. habil. Judit Kádár, who briefly introduced the university, then professor Zsolt Radák introduced the programs and the research projects of the Doctoral School.
Following the meeting, our guests were whown around at the campus and visited the Combat Sports Department, where they were received by dr. Endre Németh, Head of the Department, László Csákvári, karate master instructor and Abe Tetsushi, Kendo guest instructor.
Ambassador Otaka and his colleagues had a brief discussion about the education and promotion of martial arts of Japanese origin as well as the creation of a Budo Center on the campus.
