Current and former TF students receive award at the 2024 Athlete of the Year Gala

Several former and current students of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) were awarded at yesterday's 2024 Athlete of the Year Gala partly sponsored by the university, where the best coach award was presented by Chairman of the Board of Trustees Lajos Mocsai and Rector Tamás Sterbenz.

The 2024 Athlete of the Year Gala was held at the Hungarian State Opera on 13 January. At the event, which was party sponsored by the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF), several former and current students of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) were awarded.

In the Team of the Year individual sports category Máté Koch, member of the Olympic champion Hungarian épée team received an award.

Four of our students playing for the Hungarian Women’s Handball Team, namely Zsófi Szemerey, Gréta Márton, Noémi Pásztor and Luca Csíkos were also awarded.

The Coach of the Year award went to our former student, Vladimir Golovin, Head Coach of the Hungarian Women’s Handball Team, which took bronze medal at last year’s European Championships. The prize was presented by former Coach of the Year title holder, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Professor Lajos Mocsai and Rector Professor Tamás Sterbenz.

Our two-time Paralympic Champion kayaker Péter Pál Kiss, who was elected the Disabled Athlete of the Year for the second time.
