Two teachers and a PhD student of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) participated in the education science section of the international conference held by the University of Murcia in October.
At the end of October, the Faculty of Sport Sciences of the University of Murcia hosted the "International Congress of Applied Research in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences" conference, where two lecturers and a Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship-supported PhD student of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) presented their papers in the education science section.
The title of Professor István Soós' lecture was "Spanish and Hungarian University Students' Personal and Social Responsibility: a Cross-Cultural Comparative Study", Dr Diána Szekeres, Head of the Department of Sports Law gave a presentation entitled "Exploring the Boundaries of Human Dignity and Fair Play: A Frontier in Sports Law and Ethics", while Temíz Ceren Núr presented "Understanding Harassment from the Perspective of Physical Education Teachers: Understanding bullying from physical education preservice teachers' perspectives: attitudes, expected handling strategies and relationship with their personal and social responsibility". All three presentations received very positive feedback from the audience.
After the conference, the delegation had a more than two-hour discussion with Alfonso Valero-Valenzuela, Professor of International Relations at the Faculty of Sport Sciences of the University of Murcia. During this meeting, the parties agreed to prepare an Erasmus-Pannonia scholarship cooperation agreement. The relationship between the two universities dates back long a couple of years, as their academics have already co-published scientific articles.
