On the 10th of October, the first Intercultural Hungarian dinner was held at the restaurant of the Hungarian University of Sports Science thanks to the International Relations Center. The purpose of the event was to promote the integration of incoming students arriving in the year 2022/23 as well as to familiarize them with the Hungarian culture and traditions.
Dr Csaba Ökrös, vice-rector and head of MSc Sport coaching, Dr Judit Kádár, director of the International Relations Center, and Lilla Szekeres, International Student Mobility Coordinator greeted the students.
During the dinner, the students had the opportunity to try our traditional dishes such as the traditional goulash soup or the vegetarian lecsó. For dessert, the organizers tried to present Hungarian flavors with rétes and Somlói dumplings. After the dinner, the foreign students had a chance to learn the basic steps of the Hungarian folk dance by the mobility coordinators of the International Relations Directorate. A total of 40 foreign students participated in the event. Most of the students came with Erasmus+, Stipendium Hungaricum and Diasphora Scholarship program, but also they are the students of the BSc, MSc Sport Coaching program and the International Coaching Course.
