In collaboration with the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUN), the University of Bern (SUI) and the Sports University of Tirana (ALB), a free webinar series consisting of three parts focussing on Long-Term Athlete Development (LTD) has been launched recently.
The first webinar was successfully completed on 10th March with more than 80 participants, and two more will follow. Webinar 2 will address the issue of the individual athlete, while the third one will discuss team sports within the context of LTAD. The webinars are moderated by Dr. Judit Kádár, international director at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS).
Webinar 2: the individual athlete (Thursday, March 17th 2022, 9:00-11:00 CET)
- How does the LTAD framework apply on the individual?
- What is the current stage of research?
- What did we learn in the past?
Webinar 3: team sports (Thursday, March 24th 2022, 9:00-11:00 CET)
- How does the LTAD framework apply on team level?
- How does LTAD apply within a selected group of sports (ice-hockey, water polo)?
- How can team sport members reach their full potential?
As known, LTAD is a framework to optimize training, competition, and recovery schedule for each stage of an athletic development. By implementing its practices, athletes (individual or in groups) can reach their full athletic potential.
