    The city of Budapest, the Hungarian University of Sports Science and its sports club TFSE will host the European Universities Volleyball Championship in 2025. The event will take place from 27 July to 3 August.

Having relaunched after the epidemic, the International Coaching Course (ICC) at the Hungarian University of Sport Sciences (HUSS) has been successfully completed.

On the 10th of October, the first Intercultural Hungarian dinner was held at the restaurant of the Hungarian University of Sports Science thanks to the International Relations Center. The purpose of the event was to promote the integration of incoming students arriving in the year 2022/23 as well as to familiarize them with the Hungarian culture and traditions. 

A six-member delegation led by the rector of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS), dr. Tamás Sterbenz, met with the leaders and representatives of 11 international sports federations in Lausanne that is known as the home of federations on 26 April.

Last week, Dr. Tamás Sterbenz, Rector and Dr. Judit Kádár, Director of International Relations have visited Sports University of Tirana (SUT). It was Dr. Tamás Sterbenz's first international trip as a rector, and several relevant discussions fostered our collaboration with our Albanian partner.

Recently the University of Physical Education has hosted a special event organized by the Hungarian Embassy in the Philippines. The University of Physical Education welcomed seventy Philippine students studying in Hungary at this unique “Alumni Event”.

In the context of an emerging collaboration between the University of Physical Education, Budapest and the University of Bern, supported by the Hungarian Embassy in Bern, the two institutional partners are conjointly launching a webinar series in May, 2021, followed by consecutive webinar series each term.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the representatives of the University of Physical Education have participated a one-day visit to fulfill the invitation of the Embassy of Bern and to strengthen the partnership with our new institutional partner, the University of Bern.

As a leading national sport university and internationally well-known center for sports education, UPE is dedicated to serve sports, education and research, but firsts and foremost our students, national and global partners. We enjoy the close community nest of our campus as much as our international professional network and the friendship of thousands of sport experts and students all around the world.

This year, the highly successful three-week UPE Complex Education Language and Intercultural Faculty Immersion Program was organized in collaboration with the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, USA.

The first US 3-week faculty enrichment program at the University of New Mexico has been successfully completed in June, 2019 in Albuquerque, NM. Dr. Judit Kádár, Fulbright alumna of the UNM has shared with her colleagues at the Sports University of Budapest some opportunities that could enrich their professional and intercultural skills, while experiencing a wonderful intercultural environment and enjoying New Mexico. At the same time, she also wished to share new opportunities available for all members of the UNM community.

The new Ambassador of Colombia, Hon. Ana Piedad Jaramillo Restreo and Hon. Zaal Gogsadze, Ambassador of Georgia have briefly discussed the existing and newly developing academic relations of their countries and the University of Physical Education, Budapest, with Dr Judit Kadar, Director of international relations at UPE.

In the partnership between the two higher education institutions, an important event has taken place on 28th of March, 2019 in Eisenstadt. The bilingual symposium of the University of Physical Education (UPE) and the Pädagogische Hochschule Burgenland (PHB) has been organized around the topic of everyday physical education.

UPE Delagation’s Visit in Southwestern United StatesThe representatives of the University of Physical Education, Budapest, namely Prof h.c. Lajos MOCSAI, Rector, Dr. habil Zsombor LACZA, Scientific Vice rector and Dr. habil Judit KADAR, Director of International Relations visited several sports related institutions in Southwestern United States.

Prof. Dr. Hamar Pál Vice-Rector of Educational Affairs and Head of the Professional Committee, Dr. Judit Kádár Head of the International Relations Center, Andrea Rédli and Bianka Molnár international coordinators from University of Physical Education (UPE) were invited by Dr. Sabine Weisz Rector of College of Education Burgenland to take part in the Erasmus Information Day on 11th of October in 2018 in Austria.

Mr. Richard Way, CEO ​and founder ​of LTAD, the Canadian long term development program for sportsmen has visited Budapest and met two representatives of the University of Physical Education, Dr. Gábor Géczi, department head and Dr Judit Kadar, head of the international center.

Dr. Judit Kadar, Head of the International Relations Directorate of UPE has visited Coastal Carolina University last week. Beyond the introduction of both universities and the sports related units, a collaboration agreement has been elaborated with the help of Dr. Darla Domke-Damonte, Associate provost (Centre for Global Engagement).

The delegation of the University of Physical Education has traveled to Germany for launching a new academic partnership. During the two-day visit, the representative had formal and informal meetings.

Dr. Tamás Sterbenz, Vice rector for general affairs and Dr. Judit Kádár, Director of the International Relations Center, visited the University of New Mexico in October.

Prof. Dr. Ákos Koller, President of the Scientific Council, and Dr. Judit Kádár, Head of the International Relations Directorate, attended the reception organized by the Budapest Taiwan Embassy on October 09, 2017.

On behalf of the University of Physical Education, Dr. Judit Kádár and Andrea Rédli from the International Relations Center, and Dr. Gábor Géczi, Head of Sport Management Department, spent one week within the framework of Staff Mobility Program in Canada.
