Lajos Mocsai, the rector of the Hungarian University of Physical Education (UPE) is aware that organising the 2020 FISU World Forum in a digital form is a challenge but the proper technical background is provided to ensure it will go smoothly. He also believes that in the long run, the Forum will contribute to the rise of university sports worldwide. Interview with the former national handball team coach.

As already reported, due to the pandemic, the 2020 FISU World Forum will be held in a digital form in Budapest between 12^th and 14^th August. The information technology will be provided by rentIT, a company that has been on the market since 1996. Interview with Zsolt Kiss, founder and Executive Director.

The 2020 FISU World Forum webpage has been set up and registration process has begun for the online FISU World Forum Budapest 2020 Digital to be held between 12th and 14th August at the University of Physical Education (UPE), Budapest. Those interested can register on the event’s website.

The 2020/2021 spring semester was a big challenge for all students. The events gradually affected the international students on the UPE Campus, who faced many difficulties during this period.

The best female player of chess history, who holds the highest Hungarian state honour, the Magyar Szent István Order (Hungarian Order of Saint Stephen), has received an honorary doctorate from of the University of Physical Education (UPE) as decided by the University Senate on Thursday. Judit Polgár becomes the 45th person to hold a degree of the kind awarded by UPE.

The UPE International Relation Center conducted a short interview with Dr. János Tóth Jr., Asistant professor at the University of Physical Education, who recently returned from Albuquerque, USA, where, among many others, he gained experience in his own field.

Lajos Mocsai PhD. Prof. h. c., Rector of the University of Physical Education has addressed an open letter to the university’s students as well as all young Hungarians and fellow citizens. The excellent teacher and sports expert shared his thoughts on the common responsibility of preventing the pandemic, the human moral and attitude as well as the up-to-dateness of the institution’s philosophy.
